Robin Nunn Named Among 25 Influential Black Women in Business
Robin Nunn, Chair of Dechert’s Consumer Financial Services practice, has been selected as an honoree for the annual “25 Influential Black Women in Business” awards by The Network Journal. These awards honor women who have achieved significant success within an industry or profession and who have made important contributions to their community. The Network Journal is a New York publication aimed at Black executives, professionals and business owners.
Ms. Nunn’s practice includes regulatory, enforcement and complex civil litigation. She has represented clients from the financial services, insurance, communications, manufacturing, oil and gas, and technology industries on a variety of matters relating to antitrust litigation, government contracts, securities class actions, internal investigations, shareholder derivative litigation, intellectual property, and other complex litigation.
Ms. Nunn assists clients with both traditional legal, ethical and policy risks to an array of products and services and novel issues connected to new communication technologies, blockchain, artificial intelligence and big data, while also maintaining an active pro bono practice. She has previously been awarded a Pro Bono Publico Award for her representation of immigrant adults and children, and led a prisoner rights case which led to the reversing of a wrongful dismissal in McPeek v. Blanchard. She is the recipient of numerous industry accolades, including the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s Rising Star award, DC Access to Justice Commission’s Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll recipient, the National Bar Association’s Outstanding Partner in a Firm finalist award and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellowship.
Ms. Nunn and the other winners will be profiled in the Spring 2019 issue of The Network Journal magazine, and will be honored during Women’s History Month at the 21st Annual 25 Influential Black Women in Business Awards Luncheon on Friday, March 22, 2019.
