Dechert Secures Victory for Molson Coors Beverage Company

Dechert secured the dismissal, with prejudice, of a securities class action against client Molson Coors Beverage Company and its officers and directors.
Dechert represented Molson Coors Beverage Company and certain of its officers and directors in defeating a proposed securities class action alleging that the company and certain of its officers violated Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Exchange Act. The suit was filed following the Company’s February 2019 announcement of a highly technical tax-accounting error it made in connection with its 2016 acquisition of MillerCoors LLC. Dechert filed a motion to dismiss the amended complaint which Judge David M. Ebel for the District of Colorado granted on December 2, 2020 with prejudice.
