Dechert advised Alma in connection with its Series A funding

March 18, 2020

Dechert advised Alma, a French fintech company founded in 2018 by Louis Chatriot and Guillaume Desloges, in connection with its €12.5M Series A funding from Idinvest, ISAI and the German investment fund Picus Capital. Alma enables online merchants generating revenues lower than €150M to provide their customers with the option of paying in installments. In addition to this fundraising, a €17M credit line has been opened.

This fundraising follows a seed funding round of €3.3M in July 2019, and will allow Alma to accelerate its development. The company also aims to obtain the status of finance company within the year in order to develop more features, and in particular release it from the 90-day repayment limit to which it is currently bound.

The Dechert team advising Alma included:

  • In corporate/venture: Anne-Charlotte Rivière, partner;  Xavier Leroux and Claire Tanguy, associates
  • In intellectual property: Marie Fillon, national partner and Louis de Chezelles, associate
