Dechert Advises Dymon Asia on the Close of Its US$650 Million Third Flagship Private Equity Fund

Dechert has advised Dymon Asia Private Equity (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“Dymon Asia”), an Asia-focused alternative investment manager, on the final close of its third flagship private equity fund - Dymon Asia Private Equity (S.E. Asia) Fund III, L.P. (the “Fund”). The oversubscribed Fund closed at its hard cap of US$650 million on 21 September 2022, exceeding its initial target of US$550 million.

The Fund invests in diversified mid-market companies within Southeast Asia, primarily in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam. The Fund received subscriptions from a global institutional investor base, including multinational insurance companies, funds of funds and U.S. pension plans.

Dechert advised Dymon Asia on the structuring, legal, tax and regulatory aspects around the fund formation, while providing guidance on the negotiations of fund terms with institutional investors.
