Dechert Advises the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on its US$1.25 Billion Eurobond Offering

Dechert acted as English and U.S. counsel to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the issuance of its US$1.25 billion 7.5 percent notes due January 2029 under its Global Medium Term Note Programme. The issuance, which closed on 13 April 2023, demonstrates Dechert’s role as a leading advisor to sovereign issuers across the Middle East and North Africa.
The Dechert team advising on the transaction was led by partners Patrick Lyons and Jennifer Rees. The transaction follows Dechert’s successful completion of a US$1.75 billion dual-tranche offering for the Kingdom of Morocco in March 2023.
