Article 50 Supreme Court Case

Dechert Senior Director, Andrew Hood, joined Demot Murnaghan to discuss the likely outcome and implications of the UK Government's Supreme Court appeal currently underway.

Andrew commented that the government 'will have an uphill struggle given the judgement of the High Court we've heard and the emphasis they place on parliamentary sovereignty and the right of parliament to give its view before the government takes an action and takes us potentially out of the European Union'.

He also commented that it was 'a very constitutionally important case and something that has really captured the public imagination'.
