House Passes Bill Directing SEC to Permit Closed-End Funds to Use Streamlined Offering and Proxy Rules

The House of Representatives passed the Expanding Investment Opportunities Act which, if enacted, would direct the SEC to amend its rules to permit a closed-end fund to rely on the offering and proxy rules currently available to operating companies that qualify as well-known seasoned issuers.
