How The SEC's New Filing Rule Addresses Data Security

To address data sensitivity concerns, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Feb. 27, 2019, issued an interim final rule that requires certain registered investment companies to file three monthly reports on Form N-PORT with the SEC no later than 60 days after the end of a fund’s fiscal quarter. This requirement replaces a previously established requirement to file reports on Form N-PORT with the SEC on a monthly basis no later than 30 days after the end of each month.
