(Kassie) Helm, Ph.D. was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on a recent Federal Circuit decision limiting venue for patent infringement suits over generic drugs. She discussed the realities of remote-work relating to venue determination, and the possibility for more discovery and parallel litigation. “There might be more ambiguity now that employees are working remotely than there might have been in cases before COVID-19,” she said, as she expanded on the new challenges and complications of ANDAs submitted for Hatch-Waxman litigation cases.
