At the recent Second International Legal Forum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Dechert national partner and Pro Bono Committee member Michael Meissner discusses his role with Pro Bono Deutschland and lessons learned from that organization that could improve the understanding of pro bono legal services in Russia. Mr. Meissner also discusses how pro bono can supplement existing legal aid services provided by the state.
