Sam H. Minter

Sam H. Minter is an associate in Dechert’s employment benefits and executive compensation practice. He advises public and private companies and senior executives on a range of executive compensation and employee benefit issues as well as structuring and implementing employee benefit plans. He also advises financial institutions on the fiduciary responsibility, prohibited transactions and funding rules of ERISA.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Minter was an attorney in the New York office of an international law firm.

  • Immigration Legal Aid— Worked with Human Rights First to secure asylum for an Afghan refugee family fleeing Taliban rule and handled status adjustments and travel documentation
  • Education Legal Aid— Updated policies and ensured compliance for a New York educational nonprofit serving historically underserved New York City students with higher-education resources
  • Medical Organization Legal Aid— Assisted in negotiating and drafting a partnership between a medical nonprofit and a technology firm to use AI in providing resources and information to cancer patients
