Ben Burton

Ben Burton is a partner in Dechert's global finance practice, based in London. His practice is primarily focused on representing sponsors and their portfolio companies on complex leveraged financings. His experience enhances the firm’s finance and private equity capabilities.

Ben has banking and debt finance experience including syndicated and credit fund lending, leveraged acquisitions, take-private transactions across Europe, liability management exercises, corporate lending and general banking. He has also been recognised as a “Key Lawyer” in Acquisition Finance and Bank Lending by the Legal 500 UK.

Working at the intersection of leveraged finance and private equity, his experience strengthens the firm's ability to support asset managers, sponsors, corporates, funds and financial institutions on a wide range of complex and multijurisdictional leveraged financing transactions.  

Before joining Dechert, Ben was a partner in a leading global law firm.
