Cynthia R. Beyea is a partner in Dechert’s financial services practice, representing mutual funds, closed-end funds, exchange-traded funds, business development companies, investment company boards of directors and investment advisers. She has a particular focus on matters related to the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other related federal securities laws.

Ms. Beyea supports investment company clients with the structuring and registration process, reporting and disclosure obligations, as well as fund governance and compliance issues. She also counsels clients on complex reorganization and acquisition transactions. In addition, Ms. Beyea frequently provides advice to clients regarding Section 529 college savings plans.
