Emily Clifford

Emily Clifford is an associate in Dechert's financial services group. She advises on the formation, structuring and ongoing compliance of Irish-domiciled alternative investment funds and UCITS, acting for a wide range of international asset managers.

Ms. Clifford advises on the establishment, authorisation and ongoing corporate and regulatory compliance of AIFMs and UCITS management companies operating in Ireland, as well as the provision of cross-border services under AIFMD and the UCITS Directive. Her experience includes advising on MiFID authorisations for international investment managers establishing a regulated presence in Ireland.

Ms. Clifford completed a year-long secondment with Aberdeen Group plc, where she worked within their funds department, gaining direct in-house experience of fund operations and regulatory matters from an asset manager's perspective.

Ms. Clifford trained at Dechert and, prior to joining the firm, gained early experience in investment funds through an internship at a leading Luxembourg law firm.
