Jackeline M. Carcamo is an associate in Dechert’s litigation group and focuses her practice on complex commercial disputes.
Ms. Carcamo earned her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where she served as a managing editor for the Columbia Journal of Transnational Law and as a student editor for Columbia’s Foundation Moot Court Program. She also earned an LL.M. from Amsterdam Law School.
She previously interned with the International Rights Advocates and the ABA Center for Human Rights, gaining experience with TVPA-related issues and the GloMag sanctions regime.
- Death penalty reporting – Collaborated with the Advocates for Human Rights to prepare a report on death penalty issues in specific jurisdictions for the U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women.
- Immigration legal aid – Partnered with community organizations to secure lawful immigration status for asylum seekers fleeing religious, political, and other forms of persecution.
- Solitary confinement litigation – Worked with the Abolitionist Law Center and the Pennsylvania Institutional Law Project in ongoing litigation challenging solitary confinement conditions in Pennsylvania.
