Bailey Dervishi is an associate in Dechert’s Boston office and is a member of the privacy & cybersecurity practice group.

Ms. Dervishi focuses her practice on advising global clients across all industry sectors on matters relating to data privacy and cybersecurity, including data privacy litigation, data breach response, investigations, corporate transactions, product development, and regulatory compliance. Her experience includes representing clients in data privacy litigation and investigations, including class actions and matters involving federal and state regulatory bodies (such as the FTC and various state Attorneys General).

Ms. Dervishi provides time-sensitive guidance in the wake of data breaches and cyberattacks, including negotiating ransoms and advising on notification obligations under domestic and foreign laws. She also counsels companies on how to prepare for the possibility of a cyber-attack, including the creation and implementation of incident response plans and running tabletop exercises.

In addition, Ms. Dervishi conducts privacy due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions. Her clients rely on her to advise clients on compliance with sector-specific privacy laws and regulations, including federal and state privacy and cyber security laws and frameworks, as well as industry self-regulatory codes.

Ms. Dervishi also maintains an active pro bono practice and has successfully represented clients in asylum hearings.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Dervishi was an attorney in the Boston office of an international law firm.
