Roger Dixon focuses his practice on the defense of companies involved in a broad range of litigation matters and government investigations.
Mr. Dixon’s experience includes the representation of a multinational chemical manufacturer in an internal investigation; a large, publicly traded pharmaceutical company in multi-district litigation; a national gaming development company in a contract dispute; an international vendor-finance company in an employment and defamation suit; certain officers and directors of a battery recycling company in a securities class action; and certain officers and directors of a former pharmaceutical corporation in an appeal of the dismissal of shareholder derivative claims.
Mr. Dixon also dedicates significant portions of his time to pro bono work. In this capacity, he has represented plaintiffs in federal court in prisoner civil rights cases involving Eighth Amendment violations of excessive force and confinement. Mr. Dixon has also represented tenants in eviction and unpaid rent proceedings before the Philadelphia Municipal Court.
Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Dixon was a Certified Public Accountant. In this role, he advised Fortune 500, mid-market, and start-up companies regarding internal audit matters, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and technical accounting questions. He maintains a C.P.A. license (inactive status) from the state of California.
