Sophie Davish

Sophie Davish is a member of Dechert’s antitrust and competition group. She represents clients in high-stakes antitrust and complex commercial disputes in federal courts across the United States.

Recently, Ms. Davish defended Microsoft in a high-profile lawsuit brought by Elon Musk which sought to unwind Microsoft’s strategic partnership with OpenAI. In May 2026, a unanimous nine-member jury ruled in Microsoft’s favor, and the court subsequently dismissed all remaining claims, including Musk's claim that Microsoft aided and abetted the alleged breach of charitable trust.

Ms. Davish also maintains an active pro bono practice, including authoring a successful brief before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in an incarcerated individual's civil rights matter, and representing asylum seekers navigating the immigration system.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Davish clerked for the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
