Danielle Gentin Stock practices complex civil litigation, with a focus on high stakes class actions, multidistrict litigation, and mass torts, as well as federal and state government investigations. Ms. Gentin Stock has particular experience in the life sciences, health care, and consumer products industries. Over the past two decades, Ms. Gentin Stock has helped clients navigate some of the most complex and high-profile legal challenges in the country, including the national opioid litigation, and numerous multidistrict litigations arising out of alleged deceptive marketing or personal injuries relating to pharmaceuticals.

Ms. Gentin Stock’s experience as a civil litigator includes successfully contesting class certification and Daubert issues in federal courts, litigating and negotiating with state AGs and other government plaintiffs, and developing strategies for managing and/or resolving complex and overlapping legal proceedings. Ms. Gentin Stock has developed particular expertise handling complex settlement negotiations and structures involving numerous sets of litigants and stakeholders.

Ms. Gentin Stock has significant experience assisting clients that have received government subpoenas, civil investigation demands, and similar inquiries. She is highly experienced in negotiating with government attorneys, court-appointed monitors, or other government officials and assists clients with sensitive internal investigations. 

Ms. Gentin Stock’s ability to guide clients through challenging legal disputes and proceedings is enhanced by her deep experience in multiple professional roles. She has over a decade of experience as an in-house litigator at major pharmaceutical companies, during which time she developed novel mediation and settlement processes, counseled various business units on risk management, and interfaced with the Board of Directors on business critical issues.

Ms. Gentin Stock also has significant experience on the government side. From 2000 to 2008, Ms. Gentin Stock served as an assistant United States attorney in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. In that role, she successfully tried two cases as lead trial counsel, handled numerous arguments at the District and Circuit court level, and led significant health care related investigations as a key member of the office’s health care fraud unit.
