Jason Bradley Gott advises borrowers, lenders, investors and acquirers through every stage of financial distress, from out-of-court workouts to chapter 11 and chapter 7 proceedings and cross-border insolvencies. He combines sharp deal judgment with a background in economics and finance to protect value and chart a path forward in complex restructurings.
Mr. Gott's practice spans the full range of distressed-situation work, including prepackaged, prearranged and involuntary bankruptcies; debtor-in-possession financings: acquisitions of distressed assets in and out of bankruptcy; and related state and federal court litigation. He brings a decisive, business-minded approach to matters that demand both legal precision and commercial judgment, helping clients manage risk while pursuing practical outcomes.
He has represented public and private companies in the energy, chemicals, health care, technology and consumer industries, as well as investors and acquirers navigating distressed transactions and secured lenders in confidential workouts. His cross-border work includes multijurisdictional restructurings involving complex capital structures and international stakeholders.
Mr. Gott maintains an active pro bono practice, having worked with organizations serving civil rights and veterans' legal needs.
