Jason Gerstein represents leading accounting firms and accountants in civil litigation, arbitrations and enforcement proceedings before the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and other state and federal agencies.

In addition to his accounting litigation practice, Mr. Gerstein defends issuers, directors and officers in securities fraud class actions and shareholder disputes. He handles complex commercial litigation matters – including contract, fiduciary duty, trade secret and bankruptcy cases – for clients in financial services, healthcare, media and entertainment, and real estate.

Mr. Gerstein practices at all levels of state and federal courts, including district, appellate and bankruptcy courts nationwide, as well as before arbitration panels.

Represented Quorum Health Corporation in a five-day contested confirmation hearing; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware confirmed the Chapter 11 plan over equity holder objection.*
Represented a Canadian creditors committee in cross-border Nortel insolvency litigation; after a six-week trial, U.S. and Canadian bankruptcy courts adopted the committee’s proposed pro rata allocation of US$7.3 billion in global asset sale proceeds.*
