Julie Jones

Julie Jones is an associate in the enforcement and investigations group. Ms. Jones focuses her practice on cybersecurity, privacy and AI, antitrust, white collar criminal and civil investigations and complex commercial disputes. She represents companies and individuals in connection with investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other state and federal agencies.

Her experience includes representing clients in data privacy litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation. In addition, she assists clients in navigating complex cybersecurity issues, including data breaches, regulatory compliance, and cyber risk management. Ms. Jones works on privacy due diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.

Ms. Jones maintains an active pro bono practice spanning various courts including matters involving voter protection and women's rights. She is a regular contributor to Dechert Cyber Bits, a bi-weekly publication on cybersecurity, privacy and AI matters.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Jones served as an intern in the Consumer Protection Branch at the United States Department of Justice and as an intern at the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Ms. Jones also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable James A. Crowell IV at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
