Hannah Leone

Hannah Leone is a member of Dechert’s antitrust and competition group. She represents and counsels clients in high-stakes antitrust and complex commercial matters, with a particular focus on the technology sector. Her experience spans all stages of litigation, including early dispositive motions, fact development, discovery, summary judgment briefing, and preparing witnesses for depositions and trial.

Recently, Ms. Leone was a member of the trial team representing Microsoft in a high-profile lawsuit brought by Elon Musk challenging Microsoft’s strategic partnership with OpenAI. In May 2026, a unanimous nine-member jury ruled in Microsoft’s favor and the court dismissed all claims at trial, including Musk's claim that Microsoft aided and abetted an alleged breach of charitable trust.

Ms. Leone also maintains an active pro bono practice, including reproductive rights litigation and law enforcement accountability.

Ms. Leone joined Dechert as a summer associate in 2023. During law school, Ms. Leone participated in the Samuelson Law, Technology & Public Policy Clinic, was a supervising editor for the California Law Review, contributed to pro bono research through the Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice, and interned at Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Before law school, she was a journalist published in newspapers including the Chicago Tribune, The Oregonian, and the Seattle Times.
