Ian Leon

Ian Leon is an associate in Dechert's Finance and Real Estate Group, representing lenders and borrowers across the full arc of a real estate finance transaction, from origination and acquisition financing through loan assignment and restructuring. Ian's practice centers on commercial mortgage lending secured by retail and other commercial real estate, and also extends to acquisitions, dispositions and leasing.

He advises clients through each stage of financing, including structuring, loan documentation, title review and negotiation and closing coordination, working closely with lenders, borrowers and title companies to move deals to closing efficiently. 

Ian is also active in the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, where he serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board and in the Hispanic National Bar Association, where he serves on the Young Lawyers Division nationally and as Deputy Regional Governor for Region I.
