Fred Magaziner has represented plaintiffs and defendants in numerous jury and non-jury trials in a wide variety of cases, including patent infringement, breach of contract, commercial fraud, corporate governance, personal injury/wrongful death, medical malpractice, product liability, defamation, will contests and business torts.

Mr. Magaziner has been the lead defense lawyer for pharmaceutical company defendants in several mass tort multidistrict litigations (MDLs). Chambers USA said that Mr. Magaziner “is particularly highly regarded in products liability litigation” and that “he elicits substantial praise from a variety of sources, who say he is ‘a safe pair of hands.'" The Legal 500 United States has praised him as “an incredible thought leader.” Practical Law Company’s Cross Border Handbook: Life Sciences recognized him as one of the seven top product liability lawyers in the United States. The American Lawyer noted his ability to act as a “statesman” among multiple parties when settling complex litigation matters. LMG Life Sciences reported that peers in other firms regard Mr. Magaziner as “a legend in the industry.” In 2013 and 2014, he was named a 'Life Sciences Star' by LMG Life Sciences.

Since retiring as a partner at the end of 2014, Mr. Magaziner has continued on a pro bono basis to litigate complex cases, mainly involving civil liberties.  Mr. Magaziner also teaches Thinking Like a Litigator as a member of the adjunct faculties of both the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Columbia University Law School.   Mr. Magaziner also serves as a Special Master in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
