Annabelle Nelsson focuses her practice on complex international disputes. Ms. Nelsson is a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil) and has acted on a broad range of litigation and arbitration matters for clients from a wide variety of different jurisdictions.  Ms. Nelsson has acted for claimants and defendants in international and multi-party proceedings in the Commercial Court, Chancery and Queen’s Bench Divisions of the High Court.

Ms. Nelsson trained with Dechert and spent four months on secondment at the Royal Courts of Justice. Prior to beginning her training contract, Ms. Nelsson spent time in Dechert’s Paris office in 2011. 

Experience
  • Acting for a major European bank in relation to a claim for breach of contract for over €25 million and for a Worldwide Freezing Injunction in the London Commercial Court.
  • Acting for a large investment company in relation to a claim for breach of a shareholders’ agreement and defending an Unfair Prejudice Petition.
  • Acting for noteholders in LCIA arbitration proceedings against a major European bank.  
  • Acting for a BVI company in LCIA arbitration proceedings  relating to a breach of a Facility Agreement.
  • Acting for a Russian corporate group in relation to multiple arbitration claims brought by a state owned Russian bank.
  • Acting for a financial company in relation to a claim for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, knowing receipt, dishonest assistance and deceit.
  • Advising an individual in relation to multi-jurisdictional libel claims.
