Nimisha Noronha

Nimisha Noronha is an associate in Dechert’s securities and complex litigation practice, where she focuses on high-stakes commercial and securities disputes across federal and state courts. Her work spans shareholder derivative actions, breach of contract matters and other contested proceedings. Ms. Noronha also has experience assisting corporations, board committees and individuals in connection with civil litigation and enforcement proceedings.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Noronha participated in the firm’s Impact Fellowship, spending one year with the Center for Reproductive Rights. During her fellowship, she worked on litigation aimed at challenging, defending and enforcing reproductive rights.

  • Reproductive Rights Litigation – On secondment, worked with the Center for Reproductive Rights to successfully challenge burdensome abortion restrictions in Kansas. Now at Dechert, continue to collaborate with the Center to assist with other reproductive rights challenges.
  • Veterans’ Rights Litigation – Worked with NVLSP to file a class action challenging denial of Transitional Assistance Management Program Benefits to Reservists.
  • Work with community partners such as the Center for Appellate Litigation on criminal appeals, Prisoners’ Legal Services of New York on prisoners’ rights litigation, and Latino Justice on language access litigation.
