Jonathan Stott represents private equity sponsors and operating companies in complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, carve-out transactions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures and other transformative capital events. He also advises his clients with respect to corporate governance issues and complex commercial contracts.

His experience extends across a wide range of industry sectors, including aerospace, building products, consumer brands and products, financial services, food products, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing and technology.  

Mr. Stott has been recognized as a Rising Star for M&A and private equity in the IFLR1000.

  • Actua Corp. in its sale of FolioDynamix, Actua’s web-based wealth management technology platform, to Envestnet, Inc.
  • Adolor Corporation in its US$415 million sale to Cubist Pharmaceuticals, which included a contingent payment right valued at up to US$225 million.
  • An affiliate of Quilvest Private Equity in its investment in Crown Health Care Laundry Services, LLC, a full-service health care laundry processor and linen rental company.
  • Centric Brands Inc. (f/k/a Differential Brands Group Inc.), a portfolio of global consumer brands comprised of Hudson, Robert Graham and SWIMS, in its US$1.2 billion carve-out acquisition of a significant portion of Global Brands Group Holding Limited’s (Hong Kong listed: SEHK Stock Code: 787) North American licensing business, which includes licensed brands such as Disney, Star Wars, Calvin Klein, Under Armour, Tommy Hilfiger, BCBG, bebe, Joe’s, Buffalo David Bitton, Frye, Michael Kors, Cole Haan and Kenneth Cole.
  • Concentra Group Holdings, LLC and Select Medical Holdings Corporation in connection with Select Medical and Dignity Health’s combination of Concentra, an occupational medicine and urgent care service provider, with U.S. HealthWorks, Inc., a subsidiary of Dignity Health Holdings Company.
