Diana Tao

Diana Tao focuses her practice on matters relating to the formation and operation of private investment funds, including private equity, credit, real estate and venture capital. Her experience includes formation of credit funds, funds of one, managed accounts, employee funds, and co-invest arrangements, as well as bespoke investment vehicles and products. 

Ms. Tao also has particular expertise with advising alternative asset managers in their efforts to access permanent capital through business development companies (BDCs) and closed-end funds. Her experience includes conversions of private investment funds into business development companies and registered closed-end funds as well as joint venture arrangements. 

While at Dechert, Ms. Tao participated in a full-time client secondment at a leading asset management firm.
