David Wang

David Wang is a senior associate in the financial services practice. He advises financial services firms, including banks, investment managers, fund managers and fintechs, on UK and EU financial regulation, including AIFMD, MiFID, EMIR and PSD2. Mr. Wang's practice covers the full regulatory lifecycle, advising on the regulatory perimeter, marketing and distribution, authorisations and change of control applications, prudential requirements, governance, outsourcing and conduct of business obligations.

Mr. Wang also regularly advises on the financial regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions, joint ventures and restructurings.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Wang practiced at a Magic Circle firm and another international firm in London. He also gained in-house experience as the lead regulatory counsel for the London branch of a major international bank.
