Edward J. Newlands, a partner in Dechert’s global finance practice, focuses his practice on financing transactions in the private credit space. Mr. Newlands has extensive experience in structuring and negotiating leverage facilities in the US and Europe for asset managers including Apollo, Bain, Barings, BC Partners, Blackstone, Blue Torch, Future Standard, HPS, KKR, Lord Abbett, OFS Capital, Thoma Bravo and Varagon. He has advised on several hundred individual financing transactions totaling over US$100 billion, including ABL and structured financings, rated note feeders, private placements, NAV facilities and other bespoke structures.
