Private Funds Partner Omoz Osayimwese Joins Dechert in New York

NEW YORK, January 2, 2020—Dechert LLP announced today that Omoz Osayimwese has joined the firm’s global private funds practice as a partner in New York.
For two decades, Mr. Osayimwese has advised sponsors and investors in the formation and structuring of private equity funds, hedge funds and hybrid funds, and counseled investment managers on strategic transactions involving alternative asset management.

Mr. Osayimwese received a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Michigan State University, with highest honors. Mr. Osayimwese was formerly a partner with another leading international law firm in New York.
Mr. Osayimwese is the fifth partner to join Dechert’s global financial services and investment management practice in the last year. He follows the addition of Dublin-based partner Ciara O’Leary who joined in September 2019, London-based partner Thiha Tun who joined in March 2019, and Dublin managing partner Carol Widger and London-based Luxembourg specialist Marianna Tothova who both joined in January 2019.
