Chambers Commends Dechert for its ESG Successes in North America D&I Awards

Dechert LLP’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) achievements have been recognized by Chambers in its Diversity & Inclusion Awards for North America 2021.

The firm was “Highly Commended” by Chambers and named a finalist in the “Environment/Sustainability Program of the Year” category of the awards.

Dechert’s submission outlined the firm’s efforts to promote ESG criteria in a number of areas, including thought leadership and advisory work for asset managers; capital markets work focused on sustainability- and green-bond issuances; environment-related pro bono achievements; and sustainability efforts within Dechert’s own offices.

In its coverage of the awards, Chambers featured the success of a Dechert pro bono team in supporting the Pinelands Preservation Alliance to protect New Jersey’s Pinelands from a gas pipeline construction project.

Winners in the Chambers awards were announced in a virtual ceremony on June 17.
