South Asian Bar Association of North America Names Dechert a Diversity and Inclusion Champion

Dechert LLP has been honored as winner of the “Diversity and Inclusion Champion Award” by the South Asian Bar Association of North America (SABA) at the SABA North America Annual Awards.

Each year, SABA bestows the award on a law firm or corporation demonstrating an exceptional commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion values in the legal profession.

This year, Dechert was selected for its commitment to the South Asian legal community. The firm’s 60+-strong Asian Affinity Group, established to promote the development and retention of diverse attorneys, has had a particularly successful year addressing diversity and inclusion-related issues through mentoring, workshops, public events, community outreach, advocacy and pro bono.

A number of South Asian attorneys and business service professionals have also been recognized within the firm as Diversity Champions for working to promote and extend Dechert’s open and inclusive culture.

Winners in all categories of the SABA awards were recognized in an online gala celebration on June 26.
