Andrea L.C. Reid, co-chair of Dechert's intellectual property practice and a partner in the firm’s Boston office, has been named “Patent Strategy Attorney of the Year – Massachusetts” by LMG Life Sciences at its Americas Awards 2023.
Ms. Reid, who also co-leads Dechert’s patent counseling and prosecution team and co-heads the firm’s global life sciences group, counsels established and start-up clients in all sectors of the biotech and pharmaceutical industries on developing intellectual property issues, policies, patent portfolio management and filing strategies at all phases of the business cycle.
Dechert’s antitrust team was also recognized for its success on behalf of Endo Pharmaceuticals in the OPANA ER Antitrust Litigation class action, which was named a “Non-IP Impact Case of the Year – United States” winner.
Antitrust partners George Gordon and Julia Chapman co-led a Dechert team that secured a landmark pharmaceutical antitrust jury trial defense verdict in the Opana ER Antitrust Litigation class action in July 2022.
A number of Dechert partners were named as finalists in other categories:

Winners were announced at a ceremony at Essex House in New York City on September 7, 2023.
