Sabina Comis Named Among Financial News’ “Most Influential Lawyers in Europe” for Third Time

Sabina Comis, Dechert’s Paris-based global managing partner, has been recognized for the third time among the “Most Influential Lawyers in Europe” by Financial News, a Dow Jones publication.

This year’s “Fifty Most Influential Lawyers” comes amid a busy period for the legal sector, with several firms hitting record revenue in their latest financial results and a hiring frenzy continuing in the London market. There have also been several major mergers announced in the past 12 months. Now in its fifth edition since debuting in 2021 (with a pause in 2024), the list features heads of the UK’s biggest firms, London or European leaders at U.S. legal powerhouses, and finance lawyers leading top practices.

Ms. Comis, a tax and investment funds partner in Dechert’s Paris office, advises French and international companies, family offices and private equity funds on domestic and international tax structuring arising from complex corporate transactions, restructurings and refinancings, often involving multiple sponsors. She is one of the few French practitioners able to offer sophisticated tax advice and handle the legal and regulatory side of fund formation.

Ms. Comis has been frequently honored for leadership and excellence in client-facing matters. She has been twice recognized in Financial News’ “Most Influential Lawyers in Europe” list - in 2023 and 2025 – was named to the same publication’s “Most Influential Women in Finance” list in 2024.

Ms. Comis was also named to the PEI Group’s 2023 “Women of Influence in Private Markets” list as one of just ten individuals recognized for private equity and has been recognized among Private Equity News’ “Twenty Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers in Europe.”
