Sabina Comis advises French and international companies on domestic and international tax structurings that arise from complex transactions, restructurings and refinancings often involving multiple sponsors. Ms. Comis also regularly represents clients in tax dispute resolutions.

Ms. Comis has a wealth of experience in creating and structuring private investment funds, including joint ventures and private equity vehicles. Noted by Chambers Europe as "extremely good to work with […] very precise, thorough and responsive", she counsels and represents both strategic and financial clients on innovative structures. In addition, Sabina has developed a specific know-how in being able to help clients in the modeling of cash repatriations, waterfall mechanisms in private equity deals and funds documentation.

Ms. Comis is recognized among the leading lawyers in France by Best Lawyers 2019 in Private Equity Law and Tax Law. She is described as "able to really adapt to clients' needs and to what the client has in mind” in the 2015 edition of Chambers Europe, where she has been routinely listed. She is also recommended in The Legal 500 Paris and EMEA 2018 editions, where clients admire her for "her high level expertise, comprehensive vision of tax issues and ability to provide tailor-made solutions and convince all the stakeholders’". Ms. Comis regularly speaks at conferences and teaches tax structuring of alternative investment fund vehicles at the Dauphine University (Master 2 of Tax “Fiscalité de l”Entreprise”).

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Comis was resident in an international law firm’s Paris office where she served as a tax partner and the international co-leader of the private investment funds group. Her previous experience also includes serving in the tax department of two UK Magic Circle firms where she traveled between the London, New York and Paris offices.
