On Thursday, September 30, 2021, Dechert hosted a webinar on implementing Europe’s new Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) in a Post-Schrems II World. During this discussion, partners from our global privacy and cybersecurity team provided an overview of the SCCs, which were published by the European Commission on June 4, 2021, as well as recommendations for implementing from the European Data Protection Board. The team also offered practical tips on how the SCCs’ modular approach will work for cross-border data flows, including key considerations for conducting Transfer Impact Assessments, as well as significant developments in the UK impacting International Data Transfers.
