Dechert Expands Global Finance Practice in London with Strategic Hire

LONDON, 5 November, 2018 – Dechert LLP has boosted its global finance practice with the addition of Cameron Mitcham as partner in London, which is a strategically important office for the firm and its securitization practice. Dechert has hired four key partners in its global finance practice since June, including Mr. Mitcham, who brings UK expertise to the firm’s top-ranked Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) team and securitization practice.
Mr. Mitcham regularly acts for managers, arrangers, originators, investors and other deal parties in CLOs. He is also an experienced funds finance and securitization lawyer. In addition to his CLO work he has advised clients in the securitization of a diverse range of asset classes (including trade receivables, credit cards, insurance, auto, student loans, leases and residential and commercial mortgage loans) incorporating a wide range of structures (including CLO/CDOs, ABCP conduits, RMBS, CMBS, covered bonds and whole business securitizations).

This year has seen tremendous growth for Dechert’s 130-strong global finance practice, with the additions of Dubai-based partner Stephen Kelly and national partner Sarah Mahood, Chicago-based partner Matthew R. Hays, as well as partner Privat Vigand and a team of four associates in Paris.
