Dechert Advises Graham Partners in Acquisition of Berry Global’s Flexible Packaging Business

December 01, 2020

Dechert advised Graham Partners in the completion of its carve out acquisition of Berry Global’s flexible packaging converting business. The acquired business is comprised of six printing and laminating flexible packaging facilities, formerly a part of Berry Global’s North American extrusion, converting and coating business. Concurrent with the closing, the business was combined with Graham Partners’ flexible packaging portfolio company, Advanced Barrier Extrusions, LLC, which Graham Partners initially acquired in August 2018.

Graham Partners is a private investment firm focused on investing in technology-driven companies that are spurring innovation in advanced manufacturing, resulting in product substitutions, raw materials conversions, and disruptions to traditional end markets.

The Dechert team includes corporate partners Jonathan Stott and Henry Nassau, associates Stephanie Haas, Erin O’Gurek, Sean Herron, Chris Polisano, Marie Mast, Christopher Rodrigues and Gurbir Sandhu, and special counsel Francois Quintard-Morenas; finance partner Sarah Gelb and associate Cesar Sanchez; employee benefits partner David Jones, and associates Andrew Braid and Michael Binko; intellectual property partner Joshua Rawson and associate Noah Shier; labor partner Alan Berkowitz and counsel Jeffrey Rubin; antitrust partner James Fishkin, counsel Beverly Ang and associate Michael Okkonen; environmental partner Abbi Cohen;  and tax partner Joshua Milgrim and associate Andy Lau.
