Dechert Announces Enlarged Management Team for Paris Office

Dechert LLP has announced today that it has expanded its management team for the firm’s Paris office in response to recent and further anticipated growth in the various practice areas operating out of Paris. Partners Sabina Comis and Mélanie Thill-Tayara will join Alain Decombe on the management team, which has responsibility for operational leadership of the global law firm’s Paris office.

“Paris is a key business hub for the world and of great importance to Dechert’s work serving multinational clients with domestic and cross-border concerns,” said Dechert chairman Andrew J. Levander.

“Alain is doing an outstanding job leading the office, a role he has had for more than 13 years, and we are pleased that he will continue to bring his significant management experience to the expanded team,” said CEO Henry Nassau. 

Mr. Decombe, a distinguished and decorated corporate practitioner, is the firm’s Deputy Chair for International Operations. Widely recognized as an industry leader, he is ranked in The Legal 500 EMEA’s “Hall of Fame” as well as being ranked Band 1 by Chambers Europe for life sciences in France.

Ms. Comis is one of the few French practitioners able to offer both tax advice and handle the legal and regulatory side of fund formation. Long ranked as a “Leading Individual” across Chambers Europe and The Legal 500 EMEA, she also co-chairs Dechert’s Global Women’s Initiative.

Ms. Thill-Tayara is a highly respected antitrust partner, and co-leads Dechert’s Life Sciences practice. Consistently lauded by industry publications including Global Competition Review and Chambers, she regularly leads on landmark competition matters for some of the world’s best-known companies.
