Dechert Assists University of Pennsylvania’s Receipt of Largest Cryptocurrency Gift

Dechert assisted The University of Pennsylvania in receipt of a new anonymous gift of $5 million in the form of Bitcoin – the largest cryptocurrency gift the University has ever received.
Facilitated by NYDIG, the landmark commitment will support the growth of programs within the Stevens Center for Innovation in Finance at the Wharton School.
The Dechert team included Financial Services partner Timothy Spangler, associate Andrew Schaffer and Global Finance partner Ralph Mazzeo.
