Dechert LLP has advised FIFTHDELTA on the successful launch of the largest new hedge fund in Europe in 2021 to date. The team worked closely with FIFTHDELTA’s Caroline Bradley (CEO) and Fahmi Syed (COO) on all aspects of the fund structure which included managing significant investor negotiations. The long/short equity fund has been soft-closed to new investors after launching with c. US$1.3 billion day-one money.
The Dechert London team advising FIFTHDELTA was led by financial services partner Craig Borthwick with the deal team including financial services associates David Henshaw, Dona Treska, Laurel Neale (U.S. regulatory matters), and trainee Jade Levin; and tax partners Daniel Hawthorne (UK tax matters) and Adrienne Baker (U.S. tax matters).
