David K. Cho

David K. Cho is a partner in Dechert’s Singapore office with more than two decades of Asia-Pacific transactional experience advising leading Korean conglomerates, multinational corporations and financial institutions on cross-border M&A, capital markets transactions and a wide range of corporate finance matters. A bilingual practitioner fluent in English and Korean, Mr. Cho is recognized for the depth and balance of his advice, integrating risk assessment with sharp commercial judgment and developing creative solutions to complex international transactions.

Mr. Cho's transactional practice covers the full spectrum of cross-border deal work, with particular focus on transactions involving South Korea and global markets, including the United States. He counsels clients on public and private M&A, private equity investments, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and capital markets transactions, including SEC-registered public offerings and Rule 144A/Regulation S offerings. His sector experience spans technology, semiconductors, clean energy, environmental, social and governance (ESG), life sciences, biopharmaceuticals, manufacturing and real estate, reflecting the broad range of industries served by his Korean conglomerate and multinational client base.

Mr. Cho previously served as Dechert’s Asia co-managing partner and managing partner of the firm’s Hong Kong office, building a highly regarded Korea-focused transactional practice. Those senior leadership roles – combining active transactional work with regional management responsibilities – underscore his ability to coordinate and close high-stakes international deals while maintaining a client-first focus on his clients' strategic and commercial objectives.
