Saxon Cropper-Sykes advises clients on high-stakes antitrust, enforcement and national security matters, including government investigations, complex litigation and regulatory compliance. His practice focuses on antitrust and competition, white collar investigations and cross-border regulatory regimes, with particular experience in export controls, sanctions, tariffs and anti-corruption enforcement.
Mr. Cropper-Sykes represents clients in government investigations and enforcement actions involving competition authorities and other regulators, including matters presenting parallel antitrust, criminal and civil risk. He also advises clients on compliance and risk mitigation in response to evolving regulatory expectations and enforcement priorities. Mr. Cropper-Sykes is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, accredited by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
Mr. Cropper-Sykes brings experience across all phases of investigations and litigation, including developing case strategy, leading fact development, preparing witnesses and briefing dispositive issues. He serves on the Board of Directors of Trilogy, acts as an Investigator for the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee and is a member of the Chicago Bar Association’s Regulatory & Compliance Committee.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Cropper-Sykes focused on white collar defense, investigations and complex civil litigation, including product liability and mass tort matters involving PFAS. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Michelle Childs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Mr. Cropper-Sykes earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley Journal of African-American Law & Policy.
