Colin Devinant focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, with particular emphasis on national and international patent litigation.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Devinant was an intern at Véron & Associés, a leading patent litigation firm in Paris, where he focused on patent and know-how litigation cases across a broad range of technical fields (chemistry, cosmetics, packaging, mechanics, transports, consumer products, electronics, medical devices, agrochemical products, aviation, construction). His previous experience also includes serving as an intern in the IP legal department of a leading French research university, where he drafted and negotiated R&D agreements, as well as for a French patent and trademark prosecution firm.

Mr. Devinant is a lecturer at the Cape Sup intensive Bar Exam program, where he is in charge of preparing trainee-lawyer candidates for the final English oral exam.
