Dr. Hans Jürgen Meyer-Lindemann practices German and European competition law. He has handled high-profile merger control cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities; major cartel investigations in a variety of industries; and numerous litigation matters concerning both public and private enforcement before local and district courts, Germany’s Federal Supreme Court and the European courts.

Dr. Meyer-Lindemann is recognized as a leading competition lawyer by several legal directories, including The Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Who’s Who Legal, IFLR1000 and Chambers, which ranks him for competition/European law (Germany) in its 2017 Europe edition and quotes clients stating that he offers "solution-oriented advice and reliably handles any technical questions" who "he represents in high-profile cartel investigations and both public and private enforcement litigation". Chambers Global 2017 lists Dr. Meyer-Lindemann in the field of German corporate/M&A: competition and recommends him as foreign expert for Germany in the category competition/European law (Belgium). Prior to joining Dechert, Dr. Meyer-Lindemann served as the Brussels office managing partner of an international law firm. He also previously worked in the Frankfurt and Düsseldorf offices of a leading German law firm, as well as in the Atlanta, Georgia office of a U.S. law firm.

In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Meyer-Lindemann has published extensively on competition law topics and has been appointed Honorary Professor at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf in 2013.
