David D. Peláez

David D. Peláez focuses his practice on structured finance and real estate matters, with an emphasis on securitization and commercial mortgage-backed securities.

Mr. Peláez represents issuers, underwriters, government-sponsored enterprises, mortgage loan sellers and investors with respect to public and private mortgage-backed securitizations. In addition, he represents financial institutions in buying, selling and financing mortgage loans, loan participations, servicing rights and other financial assets. He also represents lenders in establishing servicing, correspondent lending and repurchase facilities for mortgage loans. Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Peláez served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps.
