Richard Pugh, a partner in Dechert’s global finance practice, focuses his practice on UK and European commercial real estate finance and securitization. Mr. Pugh has significant experience advising on commercial real estate lending, commercial mortgage-backed securitizations, term asset-backed securitizations (including residential, auto and credit card), securitized lending, fund and subscription finance, structured repacks and collateralized loan obligations. As a former director and assistant general counsel at Bank of America, Mr. Pugh leverages his deep understanding and knowledge of the real estate finance and securitisation industry to represent clients in their most complex matters.

Mr. Pugh’s also maintains an active pro bono practice, having served as a founder and board director of the Parallel Learning Trust, an educational trust which operates several schools in the UK specializing in children who have been excluded from mainstream education. He is also a mentor for Aspiring Solicitors, a UK charity which aims to increase diversity in the legal profession.
