Kandace A. Smith

Kandace A. Smith is an associate in Dechert’s finance and real estate group. Her practice extends across loan origination, repurchase facilities, securitizations, and asset-backed financing transactions.

Prior to developing a focus on finance and real estate transactions, Ms. Smith was an associate in the firm's transactional pool, extending her practice across all of the firm’s transactional practice groups including corporate and securities, financial services and finance and real estate developing diverse experience within capital markets and mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Smith also maintains an active pro bono practice in matters such as estate planning and veterans’ rights.

Prior to joining Dechert, while in law school, Ms. Smith was a judicial extern for the Honorable Christine P. O’Hearn in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Ms. Smith was a summer associate in 2022 and 2023.
